Senior Site Reliability Engineer, SRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage advanced cloud-based AI solutions utilizing the CNCF ecosystem, including Kubernetes.

• Implement AI infrastructure on NVIDIA-certified hardware in accordance with engineering architecture and design specifications.

• Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of container infrastructure.

• Guide team members and Mirantis customers through mentoring.

• Collaborate with international teams across various locations to address technical challenges and enhance processes.

• Create, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud and AI infrastructure solutions based on open-source technologies.

• Collect and refine technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve intricate technical issues.

• Take part in code review processes.

• Remain updated on trends and best practices in cloud operations and development.

• Design and execute AI-driven automation throughout the DevOps lifecycle.

• Facilitate the transfer of knowledge to customers during delivery phases.

• Establish technical strategies and ensure the smooth integration of cloud and software services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, with a strong emphasis on cloud and infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes and/or OpenStack.

• Experience in high-performance data center processing, networking, and storage.

• Familiarity with Golang and working knowledge of Python and JavaScript.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities in networking and storage, Linux, and Kubernetes environments.

• Strong focus on performance optimization and security considerations.

• Proven ability to lead technical tasks and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

• Capability to make independent judgments when directly engaging with customers.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Exceptional communication skills in customer-facing scenarios.

• Dedication to innovation, ongoing learning, and delivering top-quality outcomes.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally, if required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps or Software Development or a similar role.
