Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Maintain and enhance core server infrastructure, which includes bare-metal servers, LXC containers, virtual machines, and cloud environments.

• Operate and provide support for infrastructure services such as Nginx, Puppet, GitLab, Artifactory, Nexus, Harbor, and Grafana.

• Manage and advance infrastructure utilizing the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.

• Address and resolve incidents related to infrastructure operations.

• Collaborate with network engineers, developers, and various technical stakeholders.

• Design and implement software solutions that are high-availability, fault-tolerant, and scalable.

• Monitor service performance and availability through the use of observability tools.

• Ensure system reliability and efficient resource utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Strong expertise in Bash or similar scripting languages.

• Comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP stack, routing, and DNS.

• Practical experience managing bare-metal infrastructure in production settings.

• Familiarity with Ansible or Puppet.

• Experience with distributed databases such as Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

• Proficient in Kubernetes administration and managing containerized workloads.

• Experience with IaC tools like FluxCD or ArgoCD.

• Capability to design and implement high-performance, fault-tolerant, and secure infrastructure solutions.

• Background in monitoring and observability systems such as Zabbix, VictoriaMetrics, Loki, or Grafana, including dashboard creation and alert configuration.

• Programming experience in Python or Go.

• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud.

• Knowledge of distributed storage systems like Ceph.

• Experience with service meshes such as Istio.

• Proven experience working on high-load, large-scale distributed systems.
