DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain a reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.

• Develop and enhance automated build, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Minimize manual processes by utilizing infrastructure as code, scripting, and automation.

• Implement and refine monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response protocols.

• Analyze infrastructure usage, spot inefficiencies, enhance performance, and manage cloud expenditures.

• Apply infrastructure security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards.

• Create tools, processes, and infrastructure that enhance developer productivity and experience.

• Resolve intricate infrastructure challenges, investigate incidents, and enact long-term enhancements.

• Collaborate with software engineers on new features, architectural choices, and evolving infrastructure requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related infrastructure-centric role.

• Extensive experience managing cloud infrastructure, preferably with AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, Go, or similar.

• Experience in implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.

• Strong grasp of networking, Linux systems, cloud security, and infrastructure best practices.

• Experience in troubleshooting production systems and enhancing reliability.

• Proactive, ownership-oriented mindset capable of functioning independently in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach to addressing technical challenges.

• Previous experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup is a plus.

• Familiarity with supporting SaaS platforms or data-intensive applications is beneficial.

• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, workloads, or deployment patterns is a plus.

• Experience with customer-managed cloud environments, including Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) architectures, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of SOC 2 compliance and infrastructure security measures is a plus.

• Familiarity with distributed systems, databases, and high-volume data processing is beneficial.

• Experience in developing internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure tools is favorable.
