Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with agile teams to develop, manage, secure, and scale solutions on public cloud platforms.

• Design, implement, and sustain infrastructure following infrastructure-as-code best practices alongside cross-functional teams.

• Create solutions utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.

• Transition infrastructure and applications from on-premises data centers to AWS.

• Construct, test, and deploy containers and container platforms, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, ECS, and Fargate.

• Develop and manage CI/CD jobs and pipelines using Jenkinsfiles and AWS CI/CD tools.

• Conduct advanced troubleshooting for cloud and on-premises data center technologies across various environments.

• Observe platform and application health using APM tools like Dynatrace and CloudWatch.

• Foster communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams within a large organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in migrating infrastructure and/or applications from data centers to public cloud environments.

• General troubleshooting expertise in security, networking, and Linux OS technologies.

• Over 3 years of experience working with Linux operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Amazon Linux).

• More than 3 years of experience with Linux container technologies (Docker).

• At least 3 years of experience with container orchestration tools: Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, and AWS Fargate.

• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue is essential.

• Over 3 years of experience in source code management (Git).

• More than 3 years of experience in shell scripting, Python, or similar programming languages.

• At least 3 years of experience writing infrastructure provisioning code using HashiCorp Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

• Experience in writing code with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Over 3 years of experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools, including building pipelines with Jenkinsfiles.

• Experience in constructing, testing, and deploying containers, including test automation.

• Familiarity with AWS CI/CD tools.

• Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or CloudWatch.

• Knowledge of Continuous Delivery practices.
