Forward Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with clients to grasp their architecture, use cases, and business objectives, translating them into scalable technical solutions.

• Design and execute comprehensive solutions that integrate SingleStore into pre-existing application and data ecosystems.

• Facilitate whiteboard sessions to cultivate ideas, outline architecture, and transform concepts into technical specifications and action plans.

• Serve as a proactive thought partner, contributing ideas and steering discussions instead of merely responding to requirements.

• Take ownership of delivering high-impact initiatives from inception to production, ensuring successful results.

• Provide hands-on assistance, including troubleshooting, optimization, and implementing practical solutions or fixes as necessary.

• Work in conjunction with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities and the roadmap.

• Assist clients in prioritizing and operationalizing their data initiatives, balancing ambition with practical execution.

• Relay insights from customer interactions back to Product and Engineering teams to influence the roadmap and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in solution architecture, solution engineering, or technical consulting (both pre-sales and post-sales).

• Solid foundation in databases, distributed systems, or software engineering.

• Proven track record of delivering production-grade solutions in customer-facing settings.

• Experience in integrating complex systems across data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure.

• Capability to convert ambiguous requirements into coherent technical plans and drive execution effectively.

• Background in working with enterprise clients, especially within financial services or high-tech sectors, is highly preferred.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated capacity to balance technical innovation with practical delivery and realistic project scoping.

• Alignment with product capabilities and roadmap, ensuring that solutions are impactful and feasible.

• Customer-facing position; candidates based in the NYC area or within a reasonable commuting distance are preferred.
