Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and direct processes to ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of the ClickHouse cloud infrastructure.

• Work in collaboration with Control Plane, Dataplane, Core, Security, Support, Operations, and various other engineering teams.

• Design and implement distributed systems that are scalable, secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant.

• Establish and oversee SLOs and SLAs for ClickHouse Cloud.

• Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms across the ClickHouse Cloud infrastructure.

• Improve incident response and post-mortem processes, including conducting blameless postmortems.

• Engage with affected customers during outages in partnership with the Support team.

• Continuously enhance the reliability and performance of ClickHouse services.

• Plan and lead chaos initiatives within the Engineering department.

• Oversee on-call processes and best practices for escalation.

• Create software platforms and tools to boost operational and engineering efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar discipline.

• Prior experience using ClickHouse in a production environment.

• Practical experience with Go and/or Python programming languages.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Excellent understanding of distributed databases and SQL.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.

• Strong proficiency in Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.

• Proven debugging skills in production environments.

• A strong passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance.
