Senior Site Manager – HVDC Converter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ You will oversee our operations at the onshore station for the HVDC project Ostwind 4 located near Greifswald.

β€’ Serving as our on-site representative, you will be the primary contact for our customer and will coordinate your site team along with our subcontractors involved in civil and installation tasks.

β€’ Mobilization: You will arrange the mobilization of site personnel in collaboration with internal departments and subcontractors while planning the site setup.

β€’ Health & Safety: You will plan and coordinate all on-site activities in accordance with relevant occupational health, environmental, and safety regulations.

β€’ Site management: You will direct all site operations, overseeing subcontractors engaged in civil and installation work.

β€’ Control & Reporting: You will track quality, costs, and schedules throughout construction execution and provide necessary reports to project management.

β€’ Opportunities & Risks: You will identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with site operations.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering, accompanied by several years of professional experience.

β€’ Experience as a site manager in substation projects or similar fields, such as oil & gas, power plants, or the installation of high-voltage components is preferred.

β€’ A strong understanding of health and safety (EHS) in line with international standards; the capacity to identify and halt unsafe practices is essential.

β€’ Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership abilities, along with excellent organizational skills and the capability to report clearly.

β€’ Lean mindset: open to further training, new tools, and ongoing improvement.

β€’ Willingness to travel within Germany.

β€’ Proficient in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

β€’ Possession of a class B driving license.
