
Senior Site Manager – Construction Management, HVDC Converter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will oversee our operations at the onshore converter station for our HVDC project Ostwind 4 located near Greifswald.
• You will act as our on-site representative and the primary contact for our client, managing your construction site team as well as our subcontractors for civil works and installation services.
• Mobilization: Organize the mobilization of site personnel in collaboration with internal departments and subcontractors, and plan the site setup.
• Health & Safety: Organize and plan all on-site activities in accordance with relevant occupational health, environmental, and safety regulations, while also contributing to the development of work and safety instructions.
• Site management: Oversee all site operations, including supervising subcontractors for civil and installation tasks, to ensure efficient site operations.
• Communication: Act as the liaison for our client and lead construction meetings.
• Control & reporting: Track quality, costs, and schedules during the construction phase and provide updates to project management as needed.
• Opportunities & risks: Recognize and manage risks and opportunities associated with site activities and report them to project management.
• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering with several years of relevant professional experience.
• Previous experience as a site manager in substation projects or similar fields (e.g., oil & gas, power plants), or experience with the installation of high-voltage components is preferred.
• Strong awareness of EHS standards in line with international protocols; the capability to identify and halt unsafe work practices is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership abilities, along with outstanding organizational skills and clear reporting capabilities.

• Willingness to travel within Germany.
• Proficient in both German and English, with strong verbal and written skills.
• Valid driver's license class B (car).
