Senior SharePoint Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical leader for SharePoint administration, development, support, and maintenance following the transition from a COTS WMS platform to SharePoint.

• Proactively oversee, sustain, and enhance current systems to improve functionality and optimize performance.

• Offer support and insights to users regarding features and functionalities of SharePoint 2016 or higher.

• Provide technical guidance to team members.

• Report directly to the Program Manager.

• Direct the design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance support efforts for SharePoint.

• Create software solutions by interpreting requirements and information needs, collaborating with stakeholders and IT management, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, as well as engaging in software design, debugging, testing, and deployment.

• Operate within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework.

• Design, develop, and maintain essential components of the software suite using SharePoint Server 2016 or higher.

• Implement SharePoint-based workflows and create Business Intelligence dashboards.

• Document and showcase solutions through various means such as documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear coding practices.

• Participate in SharePoint migrations and Product Design Reviews, contributing innovative and practical ideas and solutions.

• Log, analyze, and resolve technical issues, reporting progress and findings to relevant stakeholders.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to assist the company in achieving its growth objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; additional directly relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in SharePoint development, systems architecture, application modernization, and enterprise platform integration, with support for federal IT environments.

• At least five (5) years of experience in custom SharePoint development.

• Strong programming experience with the ability to develop well-structured, well-documented, modular, and maintainable code.

• In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including unit testing, application packaging, and deployment from development (DEV) to production (PROD) environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of .NET/C#, IIS, Azure Active Directory, and SharePoint configuration and site settings.

• Extensive experience in developing complex SharePoint workflows utilizing SharePoint Designer 2010/2013 or later.

• Familiarity with SQL Server technologies, including stored procedures, complex SQL queries, and SQL data analysis.

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and/or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is preferred.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly preferred.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively manage assigned tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

• Capability to successfully complete and maintain the necessary background investigation.
