Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Initiate local applications, modify metadata, and implement scoped applications using a local IDE such as VS Code.

• Specify application metadata within code utilizing ServiceNow Fluent, server-side JavaScript modules, and external libraries.

• Manage incident, problem, change, knowledge, service catalog, and service level management workflows.

• Create custom scoped applications and web-based tools leveraging Java, J2EE, Servlet, JSP, XML, AJAX, SQL, jQuery, and JavaScript.

• Engage extensively with REST APIs to address and resolve intricate technical data and transformation challenges.

• Generate, sustain, and execute reports to confirm that system performance meets operational goals.

• Gather, analyze, and interpret business needs to suggest sustainable ServiceNow solutions.

• Provide responses to complex configuration inquiries from senior stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain detailed system design and operational documentation.

• Collaborate with global teams on comprehensive digital transformation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of demonstrated experience in ServiceNow platform development and implementation.

• Practical experience with the ServiceNow SDK (NOW SDK), including local application initialization, metadata transformation, and deploying scoped applications from a local IDE (e.g., VS Code).

• Profound knowledge of core platform functionalities, Flow Designer, ACLs, server-side APIs, and client-side APIs.

• Strong expertise in ATF (Automated Test Framework), reports, dashboards, import sets, transformations, update sets, system clones, and upgrades.

• Outstanding problem-analysis capabilities, including the application of mathematical concepts to verify results.

• Exceptional analytical skills to collect, organize, disseminate, and present substantial amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail.

• Clear and effective communication with superior written and verbal abilities to explain technical elements to senior stakeholders.

• Capability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently with minimal supervision in a global team setting.

• Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to agile delivery.

• Comprehensive understanding of the distinction between coding and engineering.

• Proficient in oral English.

• Proficient in Spanish.

• Familiar with Java, J2EE, Servlet, JSP, XML, AJAX, SQL, jQuery, JavaScript, and web-based development tools.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Experience utilizing Now Assist for Creator or similar generative AI developer tools (preferred).

• Knowledge of ITSM and CSM modules, Event Management, Integrations, and Orchestration (preferred).

• Understanding of MID Server Configuration, CMDB, discovery, and asset management (preferred).

• Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting mechanisms within ServiceNow (preferred).

• Exposure to cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants (preferred).
