Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Design and automate enterprise IT Asset Management and CMDB functionalities.

• Create and configure SAM and HAM workflows, encompassing license entitlements, software models, normalization, reclamation, and lifecycle management.

• Align the platform architecture with the Common Service Data Model.

• Ensure CMDB integrity through Data Certification, Discovery, Reconciliation, and Health Assessments.

• Develop tailored scripts, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer components, and Service Portal widgets.

• Establish ServiceNow integrations with SCCM, Jamf, Intune, Active Directory, Coupa, and various external data sources utilizing IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Server configurations.

• Set up data governance policies for both hardware and software assets.

• Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications employing JavaScript, Glide API, business rules, client scripts, and Flow Designer.

• Collect requirements from stakeholders and product owners, translating them into technical specifications.

• Create and maintain both technical and functional documentation.

• Assist with platform upgrades, testing, and reconfiguration efforts.

• Participate in technical process reviews, postmortems, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

• Estimate the effort necessary for ServiceNow functionality.

• Offer technical guidance, conduct code reviews, produce architectural documentation, and mentor junior developers.

• Maintain up-to-date ServiceNow and industry certifications while pursuing additional certifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Training, Certification(s), or Degree.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience.

• Expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB and ITAM, including SAM and HAM.

• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing SAM, HAM, and CSDM frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience with complete SAM and/or HAM implementations.

• In-depth understanding of software licensing metrics and physical hardware asset lifecycles from procurement to disposal.

• Experience with ServiceNow platform architecture, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.

• Proficient in JavaScript, AngularJS, JSON, and REST/SOAP web services.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Performance Analytics.

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM or ITOM modules.

• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop technical solutions.

• Understanding of Agile software testing methodologies from smoke testing to production deployment.

• Capability to document and create functionality aligned with customer value streams.

• Competence in producing estimates and basic deployment plans.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Quick learning capability of new technologies.

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Ability to coach, guide, and mentor junior developers.

• Required: ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator.

• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain Public Trust.
