Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, develop, test, and assist with ServiceNow HRSD functionalities, along with periodic WSD support.

• Create HR workflows, HR case functionalities, reasonable accommodation workflows, scoped applications, and capabilities for Talent Development / Employee Growth and Development.

• Assess user stories and technical requirements; pinpoint any missing requirements, design issues, dependencies, security considerations, and optimal ServiceNow practices.

• Propose solution strategies and collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and client stakeholders.

• Build and maintain secure scoped applications following ServiceNow platform best practices and access control list (ACL) design.

• Assist in data loads, transformations, migration activities, import sets, and data validation processes.

• Develop and support IntegrationHub, REST API, and other related ServiceNow integrations.

• Conduct peer code reviews, troubleshoot intricate defects and production challenges, and assist with root-cause analysis and remediation efforts.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, estimation, testing, release activities, and technical discussions with FDIC stakeholders.

• Support WSD mapping updates and associated workplace-service enhancements.

• Contribute to reporting and analytics solutions, including Performance Analytics.

• Adhere to SDLC, Agile, change-control, security, and documentation standards for the FDIC environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience or equivalent relevant experience demonstrating sufficient technical depth for senior-level responsibilities.

• Practical experience in ServiceNow HRSD development, including the creation and troubleshooting of HR workflows and HR-focused platform solutions.

• Experience in developing scoped applications on the ServiceNow platform.

• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow security, including ACL design and safeguarding sensitive data.

• Familiarity with data migration/loading concepts, including import sets, transform maps, and data validation techniques.

• Ability to critically evaluate user stories, identify gaps or technical risks, ask proactive questions, and suggest solution alternatives.

• Experience in conducting peer code reviews and diagnosing complex application or platform issues.

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with client stakeholders and participate in technical and requirements discussions.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote Agile delivery setting.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Must meet FDIC personnel security requirements, including eligibility for and successful completion of the FDIC High Risk Public Trust/background investigation.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is mandatory.

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be taken into account.

• Experience with Performance Analytics is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow IntegrationHub and REST/API integrations.

• Experience with WSD, workplace mapping, or similar workplace-service functionalities.

• Experience with ServiceNow Talent Development / Employee Growth and Development.

• Background in integrating HR systems or employee onboarding toolkits with ServiceNow HRSD.

• Experience with Flow Designer, Glide APIs/JavaScript, UI Builder/Service Portal, Automated Test Framework, or Virtual Agent.

• Previous experience in supporting federal government clients or regulated financial-sector environments.

• Experience handling sensitive HR data and familiarity with federal security/change-control processes.
