Senior SAP Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive SAP training curricula for a multi-year, multi-module ERP transformation project.

• Develop blended learning materials that incorporate instructor-led training, eLearning, and simulation-based modules.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts across various departments including Sales, Pricing, Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, Finance, and Master Data to convert business processes into effective training content.

• Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to facilitate widespread training delivery throughout the organization.

• Design in-application guidance and simulations utilizing enterprise training platforms.

• Perform training needs assessments and establish measurable course objectives.

• Develop knowledge checks, assessments, and evaluation frameworks to ensure training effectiveness.

• Oversee status reporting and proactively identify risks across multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Deliver the curriculum for the initial rollout wave, ensuring it is mapped and approved by SME stakeholders.

• Successfully conduct the first Train-the-Trainer cohort with measurable knowledge-check pass rates.

• Create a standardized content-building process across the tool stack for future rollout phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience designing training for major ERP systems.

• At least 3 years of hands-on instructional design experience across a variety of SAP modules.

• Practical experience in developing content using enterprise training/in-app guidance platforms (such as WalkMe, SAP Enable Now, Articulate, or similar tools).

• In-depth understanding of Adult Learning Theory and instructional design methodologies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at an expert level.

• Capable of conducting training needs assessments and converting SME input into effective curricula.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable presenting to cross-functional stakeholders.

• Previous experience training on specific SAP modules related to Sales Execution, Pricing/Commissions, Supply Chain, Production, or Warehouse.

• Proven experience in executing Train-the-Trainer programs on a large scale.

• Background in extensive, multi-year ERP transformation initiatives.

• Familiar with distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain business processes.

• Experience in developing evaluation and assessment frameworks for enterprise training.

• Technical expertise in SAP ERP, WalkMe, SAP Enable Now, Articulate Rise/360, in-app guidance/simulation platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
