This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take the lead on Salesforce programmatic requests and enhancements to the platform.
• Write SOQL code, develop Apex classes and triggers, and create custom user interfaces using Lightning Web Components and JavaScript.
• Utilize Salesforce REST, SOAP, GraphQL APIs, along with platform events.
• Architect and implement scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Next.
• Design and establish CI/CD pipelines for automated Salesforce deployments.
• Set up Git branching strategies and manage release processes.
• Create and oversee Salesforce scratch orgs for development, testing, and training purposes.
• Execute automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Oversee deployment automation across development, staging, and production Salesforce orgs.
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems utilizing Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, AWS, and Oracle.
• Maintain architectural documentation and evaluate technical solutions.
• Apply PMD rulesets, uphold code-quality standards, perform automated code analysis, and enforce quality gates.
• Monitor and enhance platform performance and scalability.
• Manage release cycles, environment promotion strategies, and deployment schedules.
• Collaborate with Production Support to implement fixes and enhancements.
• Assist Salesforce Administrator with platform configuration and upkeep.
• Convert business process requirements into technical specifications.
• Align development efforts with project scope, schedules, priorities, and business objectives.
• Partner with internal and external technical experts, collaborating with internal teams.
• Engage in software design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, code reviews, dependency analysis, and downstream impact assessments.
• Develop and sustain distributed microservices while debugging and monitoring production environments.
• Operate within an Agile framework and provide after-hours on-call support as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of software development experience.
• More than 5 years of experience in Salesforce platform engineering, including DevOps practices.
• Extensive proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, and Service Cloud.
• Basic knowledge of Marketing Cloud Next and Data Cloud.
• Advanced experience with Salesforce DX, particularly in scratch-org management, source format, and CLI automation.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce.
• Significant experience with Git branching strategies.
• Proven track record of building and managing Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated experience with Unlocked Packages and package-based development.
• Expertise in scratch-org creation and management, including automated provisioning and data seeding.
• Experience with SFDX, Salesforce CLI, and ANT Migration Tool.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code for Salesforce environment management.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, retail integration concepts, enterprise architecture, and integration design patterns.
• Web development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and SQS.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, SQL, NoSQL databases, and networking.
• Advanced capability in PMD ruleset configuration and code-quality enforcement.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks, test-data management, code reviews, dependency analysis, and downstream impact assessments.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining distributed microservices and monitoring production environments.
• Strong communication skills; organized with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Availability for after-hours and weekend on-call duties when necessary.
• Capability to operate in an Agile environment with independence and efficiency.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications are preferred.
• Experience with Docker, container orchestration, iPaaS middleware, third-party APIs, advanced Git workflows, monitoring and alerting, business-facing groups, and Agile/DevOps methodologies is preferred.
