Senior Sales Territory Manager, GA, AL, TN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide support for sales and retail within the Farm & Ranch Agricultural Retail sector in the Mid-South region.

• Enhance the in-store visibility and conditions of the Purina Feed brand/products by influencing management operations in Farm & Ranch.

• Collaborate with retailer District Managers to train both new and existing stores, as well as promote new and established Purina products.

• Oversee communication among Purina Marketing, Field Sales, and Retail Operations.

• Lead and motivate a third-party broker retail team in a designated geographic area to achieve retail/store business objectives.

• Manage support for regional events.

• Participate in sales calls at headquarters with Regional and National Farm & Ranch retailers as required.

• Build relationships with retailer personnel, including store associates, team leaders, managers, and district managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in training at the store level with a focus on sales (related to consumer packaged goods or retail).

• Willingness to travel 70% of the time (including 2-3 overnight stays each week).

• Strong time management skills.

• Self-motivated; capable of developing your own execution strategy for your territory aligned with the strategic plan.

• Excellent versatility, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills.

• A solid financial and analytical understanding; ability to analyze sales data.

• Capability to connect Purina business strategies with positive results.

• Proficiency in managing shifting and multiple priorities effectively and responsively with shoppers and retail store associates.

• Strong public speaking abilities.

• A background in agriculture and/or livestock is preferred.

• Effective communication across various platforms.

• Knowledge of the feed industry.

• Comprehensive understanding of agricultural retailers or related retail experience.

• Familiarity with digital platforms, including Canva, social media, and content creation.
