Outside Sales Representative – Life and Disability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Achieve overall sales and quality business objectives for a specific sales territory.

• Analyze sales reports and other relevant data to track progress towards targets.

• Forecast sales volume and assist in preparing sales projections for the designated territory.

• Strategize and implement measures to rectify shortfalls or enhance sales performance.

• Seek out new business opportunities by developing and nurturing new contacts and leads.

• Build and sustain long-lasting client relationships with worksite representatives.

• Educate members about available products and services, pricing structures, as well as new insurance offerings or promotions.

• Calculate and present quotes while completing insurance applications through paper, electronic formats, or carrier-provided software.

• Support the development of marketing plans and execute elements within the sales territory.

• Organize marketing initiatives, including distribution of collateral, advertising, direct mail, client events, and tradeshows.

• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and participate in client meetings as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• NYS Life, Accident, and Health license – either a current license or a willingness to obtain one upon hiring.

• A valid driver's license.

• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably within the insurance sector; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• Strong PC proficiency, including familiarity with spreadsheet and word processing software.

• Must reside in the assigned sales territory of Rochester, NY.
