This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.
• Collaborate directly with research and clinical clients to enhance the High-Plex Sequencing presence.
• Propel the market uptake of NGS library preparation solutions.
• Recognize emerging trends, client demands, and workflow deficiencies to shape commercial strategies.
• Convert intricate chemistry, assays, and sequencing processes into consultative offerings.
• Assist laboratories in optimizing library preparation.
• Deliver presentations at industry conferences.
• Foster connections with key opinion leaders, sequencing core facilities, and commercial partners.
• Oversee complex, consultative sales processes from initial contact through technical demonstration and final execution.
• Partner with field application scientists, product management, and regional sales teams in a collaborative environment.
• Ensure smooth customer onboarding, effective pipeline management, and ongoing revenue enhancement.
• Travel within the designated territory to engage with clients in their labs, present at conferences, and conduct targeted workflow sessions.
• A BS degree is required; a focus in the Life Sciences is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Genetics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful technical sales or field application experience in life science research instruments and reagents.
• Over 8 years of technical sales experience in life sciences is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive, hands-on knowledge of next-generation sequencing chemistry, high-plex target enrichment, sample preparation, and complete library preparation workflows.
• Familiarity with NGS industry players, platforms, and the commercial landscape.
• Capability to navigate intricate sales cycles and facilitate technical discussions with principal investigators and lab directors.
• Proven track record in territory planning, market analysis, and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong organizational skills to manage high-touch customer relationships alongside internal strategic initiatives.
• Willingness to travel 50 to 75 percent within the assigned territory.
• Bilingual communication skills are considered a valuable asset.
