This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Acquire new utility clients within the DACH region and manage the entire sales cycle.
• Identify potential accounts, initiate communication, assess needs, create proposals, and finalize agreements.
• Establish a dependable pipeline through systematic outreach to Stadtwerke and both regional and national energy providers.
• Develop proposals and business cases tailored for commercial, technical, and management stakeholders.
• Navigate multi-stakeholder utility decision-making processes from product and innovation managers to IT, billing, and executive levels.
• Contribute to the positioning strategy in the DACH region, including pricing strategies, messaging, and market insights, in collaboration with Marketing and Product teams.
• Represent exnaton at industry gatherings, trade fairs, and client meetings.
• Maintain documentation of the pipeline in the CRM to ensure accurate forecasts and account knowledge.
• Foster enduring customer relationships while working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, economics, or energy-related fields, along with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in B2B sales or business development within the energy sector.
• Responsibility for negotiating complex software or service contracts with utilities.
• Strong understanding of the energy market.
• Familiarity with energy suppliers, distribution system operators (Verteilnetzbetreiber), and metering point operators (Messstellenbetreiber).
• Knowledge of trends such as smart meter rollout, dynamic tariffs, energy sharing, and flexibility.
• Established connections in the DACH energy sector or a clear plan for building a network.
• Ability to prioritize, structure market strategies, and take responsibility for achieving targets independently.
• Consultative mindset with a strong ability to grasp customer and stakeholder viewpoints.
• Confident in written and verbal communication with both technical and commercial audiences.
• Interest in digitalization and software-related topics.
• Regular use of a CRM system.
• Proficiency in both German and English is essential.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to customers based in the DACH region.
