
Senior Sales Executive – State & Local Government

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with essential stakeholders in state and local agencies to build enduring partnerships and comprehend their evolving needs.
• Identify leads and seek out new business prospects within state and local agencies.
• Oversee the sales pipeline from lead generation through to closing.
• Meet and exceed sales targets.
• Lead the preparation and submission of RFP and RFI responses.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create persuasive proposals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with current state and local clients.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Track market trends, competitor actions, and government policies that impact state and local procurement.
• Provide insights that inform sales strategies and market positioning.
• Work together with product development, marketing, and operations teams.
• Lead negotiations with state and local agencies to secure new contracts.
• Ensure advantageous contract terms while complying with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
• At least 10 years of experience in sales or government-centric business development.
• Demonstrated success in selling to state and local government agencies.
• In-depth knowledge of state and local procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance standards.
• Previous experience in responding to RFPs and navigating government contracting.
• Familiarity with Health and Human Services (HHS) and Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
• Understanding of government call center/BPO, healthcare systems and operations, as well as payment and digital payment solutions.
• Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to formulate and implement effective sales strategies while identifying market opportunities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in sales, government contracting, or related fields are advantageous.
