This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the technical strategy throughout the complete sales lifecycle.
• Present executive-level presentations and in-depth product demonstrations.
• Create proposals, carry out proofs of concept, and showcase business value.
• Facilitate customer discovery to identify requirements.
• Alleviate technology-related purchasing objections.
• Showcase ExtraHop’s platform and highlight its advantages over competitors.
• Conduct POCs independently, including appliance setup, data analysis, and value-summary presentations.
• Identify compelling events and essential business drivers.
• Articulate the security value proposition to potential customers and solution partners.
• Oversee technical qualification and deal strategy, align capabilities with business drivers, and define bills of materials.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Engineers on proposals and RFIs.
• Shape product direction and go-to-market strategy through insights from customers and the field.
• Offer post-sales follow-up, technical training, and consulting support.
• Assist key customers following implementation.
• Advocate for customer satisfaction and a positive implementation experience.
• Establish strategic relationships with partner sales engineers.
• Record sales updates in SFDC and relay opportunity development to sales leadership.
• Guide and mentor other sales engineers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams regarding roadmap priorities.
• Support discussions with executive-level customers.
• Address pre-sales technical challenges and provide guidance to internal and customer stakeholders.
• Over 7 years of experience selling Network and Cyber Security technology to large Enterprises.
• Familiarity with routing/switching/firewall technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent demonstration of knowledge.
• Experience in complex and strategic selling.
• Profound understanding of enterprise-architecture concepts and risk management.
• Working knowledge of Layers 2-7 protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
• Awareness of emerging agentic SOC and NOC workflows.
• Understanding of enterprise information technologies throughout the entire OSI stack.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Comprehensive understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Capability to engage with both executive and technical audiences.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and keep up with the latest advancements.
• Ability to work autonomously, adapt to shifting goals, and collaborate with development, sales, and cross-functional teams.
