This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the technical aspects related to Kubernetes projects, which include operators, CSI, storage classes, and the Hammerspace data path within the cluster.
• Empower account SEs to undertake initial Kubernetes discovery and conduct routine container-platform POCs without the need for a Field CTO.
• Design and execute Kubernetes POCs that demonstrate attachment, performance, failover, and application usage of the namespace.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, SRE, and cloud-native architecture teams.
• Identify and communicate Kubernetes boundary gaps to the Product team, including issues related to CSI, operators, upgrades, multi-cluster setups, and performance.
• Escalate stalled POCs, critical issues, and coverage gaps to the Director on the same day.
• Provide reusable technical presentations, workshops, and hands-on training for field SEs.
• Assess when to work independently and when to engage a Field CTO, cloud team, or Director.
• Create a designated specialist and a consistent POC process for Kubernetes initiatives.
• Decrease dependency on Field CTOs for standard container-platform technical tasks.
• Technical ownership of Kubernetes-focused storage or data-platform projects.
• Ability to discuss CSI, operators, storage classes, and the actual data path.
• Capability to run POCs that demonstrate attachment, performance, failover, and application usage of the namespace.
• Experience collaborating with platform teams, including platform engineering, SRE, and cloud-native architects.
• At least five years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a similar technical sales position in storage, data management, or cloud-native infrastructure.
• Proficient knowledge of Linux, containers, and the interaction of data platforms with Kubernetes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with platform engineers, customer architects, and field teams.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with OpenShift, EKS, GKE, AKS, or enterprise-scale on-prem Kubernetes.
• Nice to have: Experience in teaching this motion to other SEs.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of GPU operator/device-plugin environments and AI pipelines running on Kubernetes.
• Nice to have: Understanding of CSI sidecars, snapshot/clone workflows, RWX file workloads, and object access from the cluster.
• Nice to have: Awareness of current storage architectures (NAS, SAN, object, parallel file) and multi-cluster or hybrid-cloud operations.
