This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the primary technical authority for intricate and strategic sales initiatives.
• Convey the advantages of Menlo Security solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
• Design solutions that align with customer requirements and budget constraints.
• Direct proof-of-concept projects, encompassing the deployment and configuration of Menlo Security services or software.
• Educate users and serve as a liaison between Sales and technical teams to address outstanding issues.
• Guide and enhance the skills of junior Sales Engineers and channel partner engineers.
• Utilize AI-supported tools for account analysis, competitive positioning, technical documentation, RFP responses, and follow-up communications.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and channel partners on technical strategies and partner-led opportunities.
• Serve as the escalation point for technically demanding or high-profile customer engagements.
• Provide feedback regarding customer accounts and field activities to Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.
• Keep up-to-date account records using AI-generated call summaries and CRM enhancements.
• Manage technical victories from initial discovery through proof of concept to closure.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Reside in New York, with the capacity for travel throughout the Northeast territory as required.
• Over 7 years of pre-sales experience in the computer networking or security domain, including leading technical strategies for complex or enterprise-level deals.
• Profound knowledge and practical experience with web proxy technologies, network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, HTTP/SSL proxies, OSI model, IPv4/6, routing, switching, DNS, VLANs and subnetting, email security, and mail flow.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying business value and technical benefits to executive-level audiences.
• Experience in mentoring or informally guiding technical sales professionals.
• Background in malware analysis, sandboxing, host-based forensics, and Windows internals.
• Proficient in network forensics, including packet capture and analysis.
• Experienced in incident response, including workflow procedures, evidence collection, and chain of custody management.
• Knowledgeable in Active Directory, SCCM, LDAP/RADIUS/TACACS+, two-factor authentication, VMware, Citrix, and VDI.
• Familiarity with hacking and exploitation tools, malware categories, and AV/IDS/IPS evasion methods.
• Competent understanding of Menlo Security's competitors.
• Proficient with AI-assisted sales and productivity tools.
• Ability to methodically prioritize and execute project tasks while setting clear expectations with stakeholders and team members.
• Authorized to work legally for Menlo Security in the country or region of application.
• Base salary range of $149,800 - $193,200.
• Eligibility for stock-based compensation grants based on company and individual performance.
