Senior Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and maintain technical and executive customer relationships throughout the territory.

• Showcase Illumio’s solutions via live demonstrations, remote webinars, trade shows, expos, and symposiums.

• Identify desired customer business outcomes and align sales-process activities accordingly.

• Provide demonstrations driven by use cases and customer narratives.

• Facilitate deal progression and proof-of-value initiatives through in-person or remote meetings.

• Create blog posts, white papers, and thought-leadership content for the security sector.

• Support partners with enablement and deal facilitation.

• Advocate for customer needs in future feature development and support.

• Assist organizations in containing breaches, halting lateral movement, and enhancing cyber resilience using Illumio’s platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.

• At least 2 years in a pre-sales role managing enterprise accounts.

• Proficient understanding of cloud migration strategies.

• Familiarity with services provided by leading Cloud Service Providers.

• Knowledge of cloud-native development practices.

• Understanding of containers and orchestration technologies.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.

• Awareness of the software development lifecycle and tools, particularly for cloud-native applications.

• Development or scripting experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with APIs and methodologies is advantageous.

• Industry certifications are preferred, including CISSP, CCSP, CCIE, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist.

• Understanding of risk-based security assessments and frameworks.

• Experience with administering both Windows and Linux environments.

• Exceptional presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.

• Ability to connect customer business challenges to Illumio’s solutions.

• A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience is preferred.
