This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of customer business drivers and their decision-making processes.
• Link Hammerspace and ecosystem technology solutions to quantifiable customer business results.
• Collaborate with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to formulate customer strategies that stimulate revenue growth and new business opportunities.
• Act as a technical authority throughout the sales cycle.
• Highlight the benefits of Hammerspace solutions.
• Offer technical leadership and domain expertise in storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive DAS, NAS, and SAN solutions.
• Lead assessments, benchmarks, and system configurations.
• Create and present technical product and architecture presentations to both customers and potential clients.
• Gather requirements and convert customer business needs into innovative solutions.
• Contribute to or guide responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
• Seek opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation.
• Encourage collaborative roadmap and planning discussions.
• Coordinate with product and technical marketing to produce whitepapers and web presentations that support alliance initiatives.
• Keep abreast of competitors and uphold differentiated solution positioning.
• Track market trends and competitive landscapes to enhance organizational thought leadership.
• At least 5 years of pre-sales experience in Data Storage / Data Management.
• Candidates must reside in the Southwest, specifically in SoCal or Arizona.
• 5 or more years of pertinent experience in technology, design, and communications.
• Preferably experienced in supporting the sale of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
• Profound understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
• Experience with NFS is mandatory.
• Proven track record in targeting new prospects and successfully converting them into clients.
• In-depth knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, NFS, OSD, and SAN.
• Previous experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network setups.
• Experience in installing/configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystem architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
• Strong knowledge of digital transformation towards Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
• Familiarity with VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking principles.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP is an advantage.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
• Acquainted with storage-intensive applications such as structured databases, SQL, and Oracle is highly desirable.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
