This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Complete sales process, consultation, and reservation for all offerings.
• Create and enhance personalized itineraries that align with company standards and client requirements.
• Act as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts.
• Achieve high conversion rates and fulfill established sales goals.
• Oversee all phases of the booking process, including quoting, invoicing, supplier communication, and payment follow-up.
• Collaborate effectively with sales, operations, and finance teams.
• Participate in a rotating 24-hour standby phone duty and shift schedule, including Saturday mornings from 09:00 to 13:00.
• Provide accurate reports on sales activities and pipeline management.
• At least 5 years of sales consultant experience in the luxury travel or safari sector – essential.
• Extensive knowledge of destinations including South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia – essential and non-negotiable.
• Familiarity with East Africa, Mozambique, and Malawi destinations – advantageous.
• Experience in managing the entire booking process from quoting and invoicing to supplier confirmation and payment follow-up.
• Experience with group management and tour series.
• Proficient in Travel Studio and Wetu reservation systems – advantageous.
• Strong skills in negotiation, influencing, and cross-selling.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and quick turnaround capabilities.
• Ability to manage significant accounts and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Competent in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal – essential.
• Capability to mentor junior staff members.
• Consistent work history with references that can be fully contacted.
