Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop the next generation of our practice management platform.

• Partner with the Product team to comprehend customer requirements, address potential issues, and outline forthcoming features.

• Produce clean, efficient, and thoroughly tested code to enhance the codebase.

• Assist in diagnosing issues and architecting solutions.

• Create new features from inception to completion, encompassing architecture design, coding, and testing.

• Focus on front-end development while placing a greater emphasis on backend development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of engineering experience, including hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails at some point in your career.

• Proficient in English, with exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Extensive experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework, particularly Ember.js or React.js, along with its associated ecosystem.

• Designed and executed large-scale web applications.

• Experience in taking Rails applications from concept to production.

• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development.

• Comfortable collaborating with remote teams using tools like GitHub, Slack, Notion, and Zoom.

• Bonus: A solid understanding of web application security and best practices.

• Bonus: Working knowledge of Docker, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, NGINX, and AWS services.

• Bonus: Confidence in managing production environments to troubleshoot issues.

• Bonus: Experience with Linux.
