Senior Revenue Cycle Quality Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead or coordinate the operations of assigned shifts, activities, resources, and/or team members.

• Monitor, advise, and assess the progress of work.

• Report adherence to policies and procedures.

• Oversee and evaluate the orientation and training of assigned team members.

• Act as a technical or functional resource while performing similar duties with staff.

• Conduct routine monthly audits to ensure the accuracy of key-system information and compliance with policies.

• Prepare monthly audit performance reports for departmental and company leadership.

• Provide constructive feedback to managers and staff and assist in the development of improvement plans.

• Educate staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Communicate effectively to ensure prompt rectification of audit discrepancies.

• Facilitate collaborative sessions addressing quality issues, projects, and programs.

• Assist with data analysis and the creation of reports for the Revenue Cycle.

• Perform barrier and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and best practices.

• Contribute input for hiring, training, leading, and evaluating staff.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of revenue cycle processes.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Experience in Quality Assurance, patient registration, or hospital billing.

• Familiarity with Epic systems.

• Proficient in computer skills.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Candidates must reside in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a healthcare or health insurance environment.

• Frequent use of a keyboard and data entry is necessary.

• No required professional licenses and/or certifications.
