Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst, System Application Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct system analysis, design, development, validation, and continuous maintenance of Resolute HB Revenue Guardian Rules and work queues.

• Configure, sustain, and enhance Epic Revenue Guardian rules, account and charge review work queues, along with reconciliation processes.

• Analyze and resolve alerts, exceptions, and system-generated charge issues related to Revenue Guardian.

• Create and implement automated controls to enhance charge capture precision and minimize revenue leakage.

• Monitor the performance of Revenue Guardian and refine business rules accordingly.

• Work collaboratively with Revenue Cycle system analysts to implement upgrades, enhancements, and system modifications.

• Identify patterns in missed, incorrect, duplicate, or delayed charges and propose corrective measures.

• Investigate, escalate, and communicate resolutions to problems, ensuring thorough documentation.

• Resolve work queues promptly and address the underlying causes of charge lag issues.

• Analyze extensive datasets to uncover operational trends, financial risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Present findings and recommendations to leadership, analysts, departments, and stakeholders.

• Monitor productivity, charge lag, and volume using Epic tools and reports.

• Daily oversight of charge review work queues to identify issues and avert backlogs.

• Collaborate with clinical areas, Financial Services, Health Information Services, Information Technology Group, and Charge Master Analysts.

• Provide training and mentoring support to junior analysts.

• Act as a member of the Revenue Cycle Team, fostering a customer service-oriented approach.

• Engage in Revenue Cycle projects as directed by the Revenue Integrity Assistant Director and Director.

• Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and informational gatherings; review vendor documentation and trade publications.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field with 4 years of relevant experience in the IT sector, or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare settings; OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field with 6 years of relevant experience in the IT sector, or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare settings; OR

• Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field with 7 years of relevant experience in the IT sector, or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare settings; OR

• 8 years of relevant experience in the IT sector, or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare settings; OR

• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience where one year of experience substitutes for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience substitutes for a Bachelor’s degree.

• Extensive knowledge of CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-10, and Revenue coding.

• Familiarity with UB04 form requirements.

• Proven knowledge of the Outpatient Prospective Payment System.

• Epic Certification in Revenue Cycle application (Resolute HB) within six months.

• Evidence of ongoing education.

• Epic certification in a Revenue Cycle Application (HB Resolute) within one year, with a commitment to maintain EPIC Certification once attained.
