This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee tasks for a designated portfolio of geographically diverse, non-performing commercial and business-purpose mortgage loans.
• Evaluate collateral property information, loan accounting, loan documentation, vendors, and market research.
• Examine loan accounting and prepare or confirm calculations for legal demands.
• Handle incoming calls and correspondence from borrowers and internal teams.
• Assess property valuation reports, inspections, operational data, loan documents, and covenants.
• Analyze performing loan reports to detect commercial loans that may need to be transferred to special servicing.
• Monitor the status of property taxes and insurance for assigned collateral.
• Act as the primary contact and liaison with external special servicers.
• Manage requests and instructions from external special servicers regarding posting and disbursement transactions.
• Ensure accurate and timely system data and reporting.
• Collaborate with Company resources across various departments, including offshore teams.
• Review servicing agreements for responsibilities, authorities, and timelines.
• Oversee invoices and reports from third-party vendors.
• Assist Commercial Primary Servicing representatives with borrower outreach, property and market analysis, and investor inquiries.
• Fulfill necessary training, compliance, audit, and reporting obligations.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions.
• Provide requested updates and responses within 24 hours.
• Process posting instructions within 24 hours and invoices within three days.
• Maintain 100% accuracy in accounting calculations.
• Complete a minimum of 40 hours of annual Company training.
• At least 2 years of experience with defaulted commercial loans.
• Knowledge of commercial loan document provisions, including interest accrual, tax and insurance management, and lender advances.
• Familiarity with commercial loan covenants and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of CRE income property operating documents such as rent rolls and income statements.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to adhere to detailed reporting requirements.
• Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and Adobe applications.
• Experience with loan servicing applications such as MSP, REALSynergy, Strategy, and Enterprise.
• Team-oriented skills to collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments.
• Must successfully pass the Company’s Background Screening process before commencing employment.
• May need to pass client-specific background checks or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
