Senior Resident Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Gain insight into the customer's organizational structure and their processes for network implementation and support.

• Facilitate workshops aimed at gathering network information from the customer.

• Evaluate new tools, features, functionalities, patches, and software fixes in laboratory, pre-production, and live network settings.

• Create plans for implementation and verification.

• Lead technology workshops that address equipment and network issues, case statuses, workarounds, and solutions.

• Assist in the design and planning of Juniper MX, PTX, QFX, EX series, and related solutions.

• Establish best-practice policies for the application of Juniper products.

• Collaborate with fellow Resident Engineers to exchange lessons learned and mitigate risks linked to network upgrades and modifications.

• Cultivate additional skills in other Juniper products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Typically, a minimum of 7 years of experience.

• Proficiency in JUNOS CLI across MX, QFX, and EX series.

• Solid understanding of BGP and route reflect topologies.

• Experience in using and assessing engineering design tools and software packages.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Background in reviewing material specifications and the design of hardware, software, and electrical components.

• Familiarity with evaluating empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methods.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in English and the local language.

• Capacity to convey product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options with senior management.
