Senior Resident Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Grasp the customer's organizational framework and processes for network implementation and support.

• Facilitate workshops to gather network information from customers.

• Evaluate new tools, features, functionalities, patches, and fixes in laboratory, pre-production, and live network settings.

• Create plans for implementation and verification.

• Conduct technology workshops to discuss equipment and network issues while providing updates on case statuses.

• Assist in the design and planning of Juniper MX, PTX, QFX, EX series, and related solutions.

• Establish best-practice policies for the application of Juniper products.

• Collaborate with other Resident Engineers to exchange insights and reduce risks associated with network upgrades.

• Cultivate secondary expertise across the Juniper product line.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering disciplines, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Generally, 7+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in JUNOS CLI with MX, QFX, and EX series.

• Knowledge of BGP and route reflector topologies.

• Familiarity with using and assessing engineering design tools and software packages.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in reviewing material specifications and the design of hardware, software, and electrical components.

• Background in evaluating empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in English and the local language.

• Capability to articulate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
