Senior Resident Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Gain insight into the customer’s organizational structure, network implementation, support processes, and procedures.

• Facilitate workshops to gather network information, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of current designs and requirements for new ones.

• Evaluate new tools, features, functionalities, patches, and fixes within laboratory and pre-production settings.

• Create implementation and verification strategies for live network rollouts.

• Host technology workshops addressing equipment and network issues, case statuses, workarounds, and potential solutions.

• Assist in the design and planning of Juniper MX, PTX, QFX, EX series, along with related solutions.

• Establish best practice policies for the application of Juniper products.

• Collaborate with fellow Resident Engineers to share insights and mitigate risks during network upgrades or modifications.

• Cultivate additional skills in other offerings within the Juniper product portfolio.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering disciplines, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Generally, 7+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in JUNOS CLI across MX, QFX, and EX series.

• Familiarity with BGP and route reflector topologies.

• Experience with engineering design tools and software packages, along with their evaluation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Background in reviewing material specifications and designs for hardware, software, and electrical components.

• Experience in assessing empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in English and the local language.

• Capacity to articulate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options with senior management.
