Senior Research Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assist in the CHAMPS National program, a hospital-based initiative funded by the CDC that promotes evidence-based maternity practices.

• Create protocols and assessment tools.

• Oversee program implementation and deliver training, including quality improvement sessions.

• Aid in the preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and CDC reporting.

• Offer support and resources to hospitals participating in the CHAMPS National program.

• Manage research project activities from initiation to implementation.

• Collaborate with departments at Boston University and other universities on joint initiatives.

• Provide expert guidance to facilities involved with the CHEER program.

• Coordinate research and hospital teams, managing timelines and project milestones.

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and communicate business and research needs.

• Develop project plans, research timelines, progress reports, and investigational applications.

• Create qualitative and quantitative research plans, including questionnaires and moderator guides.

• Manage fieldwork, as well as pre-research and post-research analyses and evaluations.

• Ensure adherence to protocols, quality assurance, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Supervise both onsite and offsite data collection and analyze data.

• Collaborate with Principal Investigators on journal articles and research presentations.

• Oversee, train, mentor, and develop Research Coordinators and Research Assistants.

• Organize and lead staff meetings.

• Assist with monitoring expenses, managing contracts, ordering materials, and documenting variances.

• Serve as a liaison with Institutional Review Boards regarding submissions and regulatory documentation.

• Support funding proposal efforts.

• Handle administrative duties for the Data Monitoring and Safety Board, including tracking and reporting adverse events.

• Manage data collection, hospital meetings, and trainings for maternity staff.

• Travel to hospitals and community-based project sites as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public health research, healthcare administration, or a related area.

• Proven experience in managing projects and operations.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent oral communication and writing abilities.

• Demonstrated expertise in project management, including budgeting, planning, execution, delivery, quality assurance, and reporting.

• Familiarity with data analysis and manuscript preparation is advantageous.

• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Strong skills in proactive problem-solving, planning, program coordination, and leadership.

• Willingness to travel to hospitals across the United States and its territories or to community project locations.
