Senior Research Associate – Epidemiology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Prepare protocols, reports, and various project deliverables.

• Engage with clients and assist in strategic planning under the guidance of senior staff.

• Oversee scientific coordination and project management across multiple initiatives.

• Create and execute de novo retrospective, prospective, and cross-sectional data collection projects.

• Offer scientific insight on methodological and operational project design and execution.

• Organize protocols, analysis plans, case report forms, survey questions, and reports for senior review.

• Collaborate with project sponsors, physicians, clinical sites, and other pertinent contacts.

• Track project budget expenditures and manage timelines for scientific tasks and deliverables.

• Act as Principal Investigator on select client projects.

• Lead or coordinate the development of abstracts and manuscripts.

• Assist in business development, proposal creation, sales processes, conference participation, and presentations.

• Mentor or supervise junior staff and interns.

• Work in partnership with clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, and data analysts.

• Contribute to the development of training materials and enhancements to processes.

• Participate in client calls and respond to inquiries related to assigned tasks.

• Assist in shaping client and project strategy under the direction of senior staff.


⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in epidemiology or a closely related discipline, or MSc with 3–5 years of pertinent experience.

• Previous consultancy and/or CRO experience is highly desirable.

• Preferred experience with de novo data collection field projects, especially non-interventional designs.

• A solid understanding of epidemiologic methodology is required.

• Proficient in MS Office software.

• Familiarity with data analysis software such as SAS, Stata, or R is advantageous.

• Fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin Chinese.

• Experience in designing peri- or post-approval late-phase interventional projects is a plus.

• Strong ability to communicate and document information effectively in written English.

• Excellent organizational, time-management, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.

• Capability to quickly acquire and apply new information, skills, and procedures.

• A proactive and positive attitude towards tasks and projects.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in presenting ideas in formal presentation settings.

• Good professional judgment in analyzing, responding to, and resolving inquiries, issues, and escalations.
