Senior Reporting Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate customer analytic requirements and suggest suitable analytics solutions.

• Create real-time and near-real-time Epic production database reports utilizing Reporting Workbench.

• Generate customized metrics and RW SQL reports.

• Design operational dashboards using Radar.

• Produce standard and personalized reports, dashboards, and views that summarize clinical, financial, and operational data.

• Collect report requirements and formulate report specifications in collaboration with operational stakeholders and application analysts.

• Develop, validate, troubleshoot, resolve, report, and close issues related to reports and analytics.

• Act as the primary reporting liaison for assigned operational areas.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend reporting and data requirements and identify appropriate solutions.

• Validate the accuracy and operational relevance of reports, dashboards, and analytics.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specifications.

• Train and assist end users in self-service reporting tools, such as Slicer Dicer, Universes, Cubes, and Qlik Sense.

• Work with Epic application teams on report and dashboard access, roles, and security templates.

• Oversee the intake queue and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.

• Respond to staff and client inquiries via phone, email, and in person.

• Provide scheduled on-call support after hours.

• Mentor junior team members in both technical and functional areas.

• Establish, document, and uphold reporting standards and best practices through code reviews.

• Prioritize requests, enhancements, and projects in coordination with the manager.

• Plan and implement the retirement of legacy Crystal Reports and transition to RW SQL and Qlik technologies.

• Stay updated with Epic enhancements and assist in the migration to new tools and technologies.

• Lead intake management and help align team objectives.

• Collaborate with the Technical Training team to create training and documentation solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Epic Cogito Fundamentals certification.

• Cogito Tools Administration certification.

• Clarity Data Model certification.

• Caboodle Data Model certification.

• One of two clinical/access data model certifications or accreditations.

• Required certifications must be completed within 12 months of hire date.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or alternatively, 10 years of progressively responsible, job-specific experience combined with an equivalent mix of education and training.

• At least six years of experience with BI and analytic reporting software applications.

• A minimum of two years of experience with Epic Reporting Workbench reports and Radar dashboards.

• Prior experience in production-level support and/or development within BI environments.

• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries against high-volume datasets.

• In-depth understanding of data warehouse concepts and enterprise data management practices.

• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Knowledge of the complete reporting delivery lifecycle, from requirements definition to development and testing.

• Familiarity with healthcare, hospital, and ambulatory terminology and business practices.

• Awareness of HIPAA, DNV, and MIPS regulations.

• Experience in gathering end-user requirements, defining data specifications, designing solutions, and modifying existing work.

• Knowledge of clinical documentation, orders databases, data conversion models, workflows, master files, category lists, synonyms, and preference lists.

• Capacity to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple concurrent projects.

• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment with shifting schedules and priorities, including potential evening and weekend work.

• Capability to lead complex projects from inception to completion.

• Understanding of Epic reporting and analytics tools, including Reporting Workbench, Radar, Slicer Dicer, Universes, and Cubes.

• Experience with Qlik Sense.

• Knowledge of report and dashboard security roles and templates.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
