Senior Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development, review, approval, and distribution of software lifecycle documentation.

• Monitor document readiness, keep dependency maps up to date, and conduct critical path analyses.

• Identify and escalate documentation deficiencies that may impede testing, regulatory submissions, or deployment preparedness.

• Manage deployment planning for internal releases, Limited Market Releases, feature launches, international rollouts, sustaining patches, and hotfixes.

• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to execute deployment strategies.

• Administer staged rollout strategies, rollback plans, deployment targeting, pilot group coordination, and production monitoring.

• Evaluate deployment performance metrics and assess launch results.

• Organize hypercare activities post-release.

• Lead reviews for release readiness and conduct assessments for deployment readiness.

• Set readiness criteria for each phase of deployment.

• Facilitate cross-functional go/no-go decision reviews.

• Standardize release management processes across mobile teams.

• Create reusable templates for deployment plans, readiness reviews, risk tracking, and release reporting.

• Recognize bottlenecks and initiate continuous improvement efforts.

• Assist in scaling release processes for multiple concurrent product launches.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software release management, program management, systems engineering, PMO, or technical operations.

• Proven experience supporting mobile applications and cloud-connected systems.

• Background in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, or similar fields.

• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.

• PMP certification is a desirable qualification.

• SAFe certification is also considered a plus.

• Experience with release processes for Android and iOS platforms is a bonus.

• Knowledge of app store deployments and OTA update strategies is beneficial.

• Understanding of Design Controls, Quality Systems, and Software Development Lifecycle documentation is favorable.
