
Senior Relationship Manager, Franchise Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Initiate new business opportunities and create direct deal flow in the restaurant and fitness franchise finance sectors.
• Handle intricate client relationships with franchisees, franchisors, and chain brands.
• Act as a trusted advisor for large and middle-market operators.
• Formulate relationship strategies, engage in business development, deal origination, structuring, and portfolio management.
• Originate, negotiate, structure, price, underwrite, and finalize loans.
• Coordinate teams to approve and close new transactions while maximizing profitability.
• Oversee a complex commercial loan portfolio and assess portfolio quality.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to collect financial statements, monitor compliance reporting, and analyze financial data.
• Recommend or implement corrective measures and manage the bank’s risk exposure.
• Work with Credit and external counsel to prepare credit approval documentation.
• Oversee the transaction onboarding process.
• Engage sponsors and borrowers to uncover ideas and opportunities for relationship expansion.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and market conditions impacting assigned relationships.
• Represent the bank at industry events and conferences.
• Mentor and support less experienced Relationship Managers.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
• Complete mandatory compliance training and uphold compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Bachelor's Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience as a Franchise Finance Relationship Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial lending credit, underwriting, and loan structuring.
• Strong analytical skills for financial and cash flow analysis.
• Highly developed negotiation capabilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in employing a calling strategy to actively engage with prospects/clients.
• A personally cultivated network of clients and potential clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Some travel may be necessary.
• Ability to perform moderate physical exertion and maintain stamina, including standing, sitting, walking, driving, or infrequent lifting.
