Senior Regulatory Paralegal, Content Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate modifications to applicable regulations and exchange rulebooks, encompassing EU and UK financial services regulations as well as exchange and CCP rulebooks.

• Analyze regulatory updates, their effective dates, and significance, ensuring these changes are properly documented in the platform.

• Keep a transparent, auditable record of review decisions.

• Examine outputs from machine learning topic models and verify that regulatory content is accurately categorized.

• Identify misclassifications and edge cases, providing structured, labeled feedback for model enhancements.

• Update topic taxonomy and data definitions as regulations change.

• Compare integrated and consolidated rulebooks with original regulatory sources to confirm hierarchy, organization, versioning, and effective dates.

• Detect and escalate issues related to gaps, missing provisions, duplication, and extraction errors.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and software engineering teams to address issues and enhance controls.

• Address client requests for additional data and assist in rapidly building the service.

• Review and conduct quality assurance on written development requirements.

• Manage new regulations from initial capture to product integration.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree, paralegal qualification, or equivalent legal education.

• Exposure to financial services regulation, RegTech, or a legal/compliance setting through academic study, internships, or work experience.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Discipline to consistently adhere to structured review and quality assurance processes while maintaining clear decision records.

• Proficient written communication skills.

• Interest in financial services regulation with a commitment to developing expertise.

• Curiosity regarding AI and machine learning tools.

• Familiarity with regulatory data sources such as EUR-Lex / CELEX, FCA Handbook, exchange circulars, or rulebook publication feeds.

• Experience using tools like Jira and Confluence.
