Business Immigration Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a substantial employment-based immigration caseload independently.

• Prepare and submit non-immigrant petitions such as H-1B/H-4, L-1A/L-1B/L-2, TN, O-1, and E-3.

• Assist with immigrant processes including PERM, I-140 (EB-1A, EB-1C, EB-2, EB-3), I-485, and EB-2 NIW.

• Compose compliant support letters for O-1 and L-1A submissions that present eligibility arguments.

• Draft standard H-1B letters and straightforward RFE responses.

• Prepare replies for intricate RFEs, NOIDs, and PERM audit responses, complete with organized exhibits and timelines.

• Keep track of cases, maintain calendars, and document internal processes to adhere to deadlines.

• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders in both English and Spanish as required.

• Provide timely updates, identify risks early, and ensure the continuous progression of cases.

• Guarantee that all drafting and client-facing communications are professionally crafted and polished.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3+ years of relevant paralegal experience in employment-based immigration within a law firm or corporate environment.

• Practical experience in preparing and supporting filings for H-1B/H-4, L-1A/L-1B/L-2, TN, O-1, and E-3.

• Proficient in PERM, I-140 (EB categories), and I-485 case support, particularly with complex documentation workflows.

• Capability to independently handle a high-volume caseload with limited oversight.

• Strong skills in legal drafting, including support letters and detailed responses to RFEs/NOIDs/PERM audits.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for client interactions.

• Outstanding organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective deadline management in a fast-paced legal setting.

• Preferred experience in drafting support for EB-2 NIW and organizing evidence.

• Preferred experience in strategizing for complex O-1 cases.

• Familiarity with common immigration case management systems and disciplined tracking practices is preferred.

• Prior experience in supporting multiple attorneys/clients simultaneously within a structured, metrics-driven environment is preferred.

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, U.S. Time Zone (MST).

• Proficient in written and spoken English; Spanish when necessary.
