Senior Regional Sales Director – Great Lakes

📋 Description

• Spearhead Spine growth sales initiatives within the designated Great Lakes region.

• Oversee District Managers, sales representatives, and specialized spine technology sales teams.

• Foster a unified culture among sales representatives with expertise in spine surgery and enabling technologies.

• Strategize, develop, and organize team plans, execution strategies, and performance management for market and account approaches.

• Lead cross-training and manage change to enhance team operations.

• Promote the adoption of innovative surgical techniques through the strategic deployment of spine technology sales representatives.

• Collaborate with the Spine AVP to formulate strategies and tactics aimed at increasing regional market share.

• Deploy strategic technology sales teams to engage competitive surgeons in partnership with territory sales teams and District Managers.

• Generate new revenue streams at key strategic and growth-opportunity accounts utilizing Sales, Marketing, and Medical Education resources.

• Champion the sale and adoption of robotic-assisted spine surgery.

• Work cross-functionally to meet revenue and unit targets in capital sales.

• Provide growth opportunities for the regional team and attract high-potential talent.

• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and administrative clients.

• Advocate for Inclusion and Diversity initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with Medtronic Quality Systems.

• Represent the company in line with its policies and monitor market and competitive conditions for strategic planning.

• Report directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales.

• Travel approximately 50% within the Great Lakes region and neighboring areas of Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 15 years of relevant medical sales experience, or an advanced degree coupled with a minimum of 13 years of relevant medical sales experience.

• At least 10 years of managerial experience.

• Experience in the spine field.

• For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a qualification that meets the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.

• U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available for roles below Principal level; candidates must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout their employment.

• Previous experience in people leadership, including direct talent management within the last 3 years.

• Proven success in developing and executing strategic business plans to drive growth, enhance market share, and deliver customer value.

• Demonstrated capability to build, cultivate, and sustain executive-level relationships with customers, physicians, and internal stakeholders.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze complex business challenges and create tailored solutions.

• Experience leading within intricate, matrixed organizations and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and customer performance management skills.

• Strong leadership abilities, including influencing senior leaders, developing talent, and achieving results through others.

• Experience in managing both human and financial resources.

• Advanced proficiency in business technology, data analytics tools, CRM platforms, and developing customer-facing presentations.

• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

• Knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and healthcare economics.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven track record of leading organizational change and driving the adoption of new strategies and initiatives.
