This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Lead, guide, and mentor a team of Regional Operations Managers while ensuring accountability for the inspection team’s Objectives and Key Results.
• Guarantee that floor plan audits and vehicle or facility inspection policies, processes, procedures, and tools are comprehended and adhered to in order to meet regional SLAs and targets.
• Drive sales growth by cultivating customer relationships with dealers and the OPENLANE sales team.
• Assist in the recruitment of contractor and full-time inspectors within designated regions.
• Collaborate with Marketplace and Commercial Sales leadership regarding inspection requirements, growth forecasting, scheduling, and regional success.
• Coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure timely completion of assignments and efficient use of inspection resources.
• Provide training for inspectors on OPENLANE applications, inspection processes, and job responsibilities.
• Conduct VOC and eNPS customer feedback calls as required.
• Analyze data to identify inspector trends, understand capacity, enhance quality, increase consistency, and monitor metrics.
• Act as a point of contact for contractors and inspectors concerning compensation, task assignments, process updates, and application inquiries.
• Maintain communication with departments regarding inspection feedback and inquiries.
• Collaborate with sales, product, quality, and arbitration leadership to ensure regional success.
• Engage in the creation, validation, and review of training programs.
• Work in the field alongside Regional Operations Managers and inspectors to uphold quality standards and train new inspectors.
• Utilize various communication tools within OPENLANE.
• Serve as a reserve inspector for new markets and address regional inspection capacity shortages.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• A minimum of 2+ years of automotive mechanical experience.
• Must be capable of operating a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in technology; most inspection reports are submitted electronically.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Experience in hiring and collaborating with inspectors.
• Experience in utilizing data for informed decision-making.
• Background in team management, data analysis, and effective communication.
• Familiarity with Google Suite products, Slack, and other communication tools (preferred).
