
Senior Regional Manager β Fleet Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Oversee the creation and implementation of safety strategies aimed at minimizing injury risk and preventing avoidable collisions throughout the delivery fleet network.
β’ Provide strategic oversight for compliance programs related to OSHA, NFPA, and DOT/FMCSA.
β’ Enhance driver qualification, safety training, engagement, collision reduction, and continuous improvement across the transportation network.
β’ Act as the subject matter expert to standardize, harmonize, and facilitate the execution of fleet safety and regulatory compliance initiatives.
β’ Examine CSA scores, fleet performance metrics, and safety trends to devise initiatives that enhance compliance and mitigate risk.
β’ Transition swiftly between tactical, strategic, and technical aspects of safety management.
β’ Identify innovative use cases for technology and automation in risk reduction initiatives.
β’ Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of incident investigations.
β’ Deliver weekly and monthly leadership update reports on fleet safety advancements, project statuses, and progress toward strategic objectives.
β’ Simplify, optimize, and automate business processes to eliminate inefficiencies.
β’ Utilize project management and lean six sigma methodologies.
β’ Collaborate and communicate with fleet leadership, executives, and the EHS team to establish a premier transportation safety program.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of safety management or leadership experience within the transportation/delivery sector.
β’ In-depth knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards and DOT 49 CFR FMCSA regulations.
β’ Proven experience in implementing compliance programs in warehouse and transportation settings.
β’ Demonstrated ability to develop and execute fleet safety strategies using telematics technology (e.g., Samsara), analytics, coaching processes, and performance management techniques.
β’ Strong communication skills to articulate technical or regulatory requirements effectively across different organizational levels.
β’ Capability to foster partnerships with operations leaders and influence without formal authority.
β’ Proficient in analyzing, defining, diagnosing, and resolving problems using sound logic and rationale.
β’ Experience with project management and lean six sigma methodologies.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint.
β’ Preferred qualifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent industry-recognized certification.
