Senior React Native Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain mobile applications utilizing React Native and TypeScript.

• Create and implement new features for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Convert product specifications and designs into scalable, maintainable mobile solutions.

• Integrate REST APIs, third-party services, authentication methods, analytics, and various backend systems.

• Enhance application performance, stability, and overall user experience.

• Produce clean, reusable, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Create and sustain unit, integration, and end-to-end testing procedures.

• Diagnose and resolve bugs and production challenges.

• Engage in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Contribute to mobile architecture and technical decision-making processes.

• Track application performance and reliability through debugging and monitoring tools.

• Keep abreast of advancements in React Native, iOS, Android, and mobile development best practices.

• Guide other developers and help foster a robust engineering culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• More than 3 years of hands-on experience with React Native.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript.

• Demonstrated experience in building and delivering production applications for both iOS and Android.

• Solid understanding of React and React Native architecture and best practices.

• Proficient in integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services.

• Experience with mobile state management and application architecture.

• Skilled in writing automated tests for mobile applications.

• Excellent debugging and performance optimization abilities.

• Familiarity with Git and contemporary development workflows.

• Knowledge of the App Store and Google Play release procedures.

• Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.

• Must reside in Latin America.

• Nice to have: Experience with Expo and EAS.

• Nice to have: Experience with Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with React Native New Architecture, JSI, TurboModules, or native modules.

• Nice to have: Experience with mobile CI/CD.

• Nice to have: Background in Jest, React Native Testing Library, or Detox.

• Nice to have: Experience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, or deep linking.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Sentry, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools.

• Nice to have: Previous experience in mentoring or leading developers.
