Senior REACT JS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and test applications utilizing React JS technologies throughout development, QA, and production phases.

• Comprehend the existing system infrastructure, security requirements, network considerations, and development methodologies.

• Integrate wireframes and designs into application code effectively.

• Write JavaScript application interface code, translating designs into high-quality code.

• Optimize components for compatibility across various browsers and devices.

• Create responsive web-based user interfaces, supporting the organization's application ecosystem.

• Develop clean and scalable ReactJS code.

• Refactor, debug, test, and deploy applications and systems as needed.

• Enhance existing Java applications and systems.

• Produce documentation throughout the entire development lifecycle.

• Provide technical support to teams, district agencies, personnel, and stakeholders.

• Ensure that technologies adhere to current, stable, compliant architecture meeting enterprise standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams on software design and architecture.

• Monitor and report on the performance utilization of assigned technologies.

• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and failures.

• Manage problem tickets, escalations, tasks, and out-of-cycle requests.

• Advise customers on the effective use of systems and determine appropriate courses of action for business needs.

• Identify broader issues across integrated technologies and communicate them effectively.

• Coordinate application developer activities when necessary.

• Identify best practices and standards for product development.

• Support and design industry-specific applications that integrate with statewide systems.

• Interact with executive-level business users and technical experts.

• Serve as a niche technical subject matter expert when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of web development experience.

• At least 3 years of experience working with React.js.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with ReactJS, RXJS, NodeJS, and ES6/5.

• At least 3 years of experience with REDUX architecture.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular 2.0.

• Familiarity with the JavaScript object model, DOM manipulation, event handlers, data structures, algorithms, JSX, Babel, REST/RPC APIs, and Agile methodologies.

• Experience with RedHat OpenShift container-based application development.

• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Jetty, or Undertow.

• Capability to develop, test, deploy, refactor, and debug applications.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

• Ability to provide technical support and consultative expertise.

• Capacity to interact with executive-level business users and technical experts.
