Senior Full Stack Engineer – Web, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications utilizing Java and contemporary web technologies.

• Create frontend and backend functionalities that support subscriptions, payments, and entitlement management.

• Craft responsive and high-performance user experiences leveraging JavaScript/TypeScript along with React or comparable frameworks.

• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices tailored for subscription and payment processes.

• Work on Fire TV IAP integration, encompassing purchases, renewals, cancellations, and entitlement synchronization.

• Connect with external payment providers, app stores, and platform APIs.

• Construct resilient systems adept at managing significant traffic surges and high concurrent usage.

• Enhance application performance, availability, monitoring, and reliability.

• Address failure scenarios, retries, reconciliation, and user-state consistency across distributed systems.

• Collaborate with backend, frontend, product, and platform teams to deliver features comprehensively.

• Produce high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested production code.

• Engage in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.

• Strong frontend proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Familiarity with React, Next.js, or other modern frontend frameworks.

• Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems.

• Experience in developing high-scale consumer-facing applications.

• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Exposure to caching systems like Redis.

• Experience with messaging/event-streaming technologies such as Kafka is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

• Good understanding of observability, monitoring, and production debugging.

• Over 7 years of software engineering experience.

• Strong system design and architectural experience.

• Experience in designing systems for high concurrency, large-scale traffic, and high availability.

• Capability to lead complex technical implementations from start to finish.

• Experience mentoring engineers and advocating for engineering best practices.
