Front End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot code for applications, backend services, and APIs.

• Play a key role in the development of features and services in accordance with established architecture and engineering standards.

• Engage in code reviews and apply feedback to enhance code quality.

• Identify and resolve issues in development and lower-environment settings.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and QA teams to produce functional and reliable software.

• Adhere to established development workflows, security protocols, and engineering standards.

• Assist in documentation efforts and knowledge sharing initiatives.

• Gain insight into platform architecture, service interactions, and system design principles.

• Cultivate a working knowledge of platform services, system interactions, and engineering patterns.

• Contribute to platform features and backend services that enhance business and customer experiences.

• Aid in supporting scalable, cloud-based engineering environments and the transition to a cohesive platform architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• 0-2 years of relevant experience (including internships, academic projects, or entry-level positions).

• Basic knowledge of software engineering principles, encompassing object-oriented programming and data structures.

• Fundamental understanding of APIs, application architecture, and databases.

• Familiarity with contemporary development environments and tools.

• Proficiency in writing, testing, and debugging code in at least one programming language (Java is preferred).

• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs.

• Basic understanding of SQL and data handling.

• Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git-based tools).

• Capability to apply logical reasoning to address defined technical challenges.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment within established guidelines.

• Skill in identifying issues and escalating them appropriately when necessary.

• Effective communication skills within team settings.

• Willingness to quickly learn new technologies and tools.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing engineering practices and environments.
