Senior React JS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and test applications utilizing React JS technologies from the development phase through QA to production.

• Comprehend the existing system infrastructure, security requirements, network considerations, and methodologies.

• Integrate designs and wireframes seamlessly into application code.

• Write JavaScript interface code, converting wireframes and designs into high-quality code.

• Optimize components to function effectively across various browsers and devices.

• Create responsive web-based user interfaces.

• Support the organization’s application ecosystem.

• Write clean, maintainable code using React JS.

• Refactor, debug, test, and deploy applications and systems efficiently.

• Enhance existing Java applications and systems.

• Document processes and developments throughout the software lifecycle.

• Provide technical assistance to the team, District agencies, personnel, and stakeholders.

• Ensure that technologies remain current, stable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams on software design and architecture.

• Monitor and report on technology performance and utilization.

• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues or failures as they arise.

• Manage problem tickets, escalations, tasks, and out-of-cycle requests effectively.

• Advise customers on effective system usage and offer consultative expertise.

• Identify complex issues across integrated technologies and communicate them appropriately.

• Coordinate application developer activities as necessary.

• Identify best practices and standards for product development.

• Provide support and design for applications that integrate with statewide systems.

• Engage with executive-level business users and technical experts.

• Serve as a niche technical subject matter expert when required.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 16 years of experience in enterprise web development.

• 3 years of experience with the React UI framework (React.js).

• 3 years of experience with ReactJS, RxJS, NodeJS, and ES6/5.

• 3 years of experience with Redux architecture.

• 3 years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular 2.0.

• 3 years of experience in developing React Native components.

• 3 years of experience with JSX.

• 3 years of experience with REST APIs.

• 3 years of experience with JSON and XML.

• 3 years of experience translating wireframes and designs into development-ready formats.

• 3 years of experience with CSS libraries, Sigma, and Adobe XD.

• 3 years of experience with ReactJS workflows including Flux, Redux, Create React App, and data structure libraries.

• 3 years of experience using Git as a version control repository.

• 3 years of experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Jetty, or Undertow.

• 3 years of experience in a Linux working environment.

• 3 years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift for container-based application development and deployment.

• 3 years of familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development methodologies.

• 11 years of experience is required to qualify for a Senior-level STaR2 position.

• Must meet the qualifications for a Senior-level STaR2 position.
