Senior Radio DAS Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct detailed RF site assessments to analyze signal propagation, identify interference challenges, and establish optimal antenna locations for DAS and ERRCS.

• Design, set up, and commission DAS and Public Safety BDA systems.

• Ensure systems adhere to NFPA 1221/1225, FCC Part 90 regulations, as well as local building codes.

• Carry out RF signal strength measurements, adjust system gain, and implement interference mitigation strategies.

• Utilize spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and RF power meters.

• Create system diagrams, testing reports, and compliance certifications.

• Collaborate with Fire Marshals, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and building inspectors.

• Travel across the western U.S. approximately 75% of the time.

• Report to the company's headquarters located in Sacramento.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a relevant field.

• 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or 3 years with a master's degree.

• Proficiency in RF engineering and propagation modeling.

• Experience in the design and implementation of DAS and ERRCS systems.

• Familiarity with NFPA, FCC, and UL compliance standards.

• Skilled in using spectrum analyzers and RF testing equipment.

• Experience in structured cabling installation (CAT6, CAT6A, fiber optics).

• Knowledge of network hardware configuration and troubleshooting.

• Proficient in technical documentation and reporting.

• Background in project coordination and ensuring regulatory compliance.
