This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Take ownership of analytics and reporting that supports the Portfolio Development team, concentrating on SKU productivity and capital allocation across more than 20,000 SKUs.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Product Strategy stakeholders to comprehend strategic inquiries and create analyses and reports.
• Utilize conjoint analysis, multivariate regression, and various statistical techniques to pinpoint product attributes that enhance productivity.
• Offer data-driven recommendations regarding portfolio expansion, contraction, or adjustments.
• Account for confounding factors such as stock-outs, new or discontinued SKUs, and seasonality.
• Detect inconsistencies in source data and amend records in Snowflake.
• Partner with upstream platform owners to enhance the accuracy of source data and downstream analytics.
• Independently present findings to both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
• Suggest and uphold ongoing analytics and reporting on SKU productivity.
• Leverage AI to analyze data, automate reporting, identify errors, and boost output.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director of AI & Data Insights while working closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff.
• 2-5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or statistics within similar SKU-driven industries.
• Strong foundation in statistics or operations research, including regression, hypothesis testing, multivariate analysis, and optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Practical experience with Snowflake, including the ability to write back to correct or clean production data.
• Proven ability to present findings and challenge assumptions with senior stakeholders and executives.
• Capacity for independent execution and the ability to prioritize analyses based on business objectives.
• Knowledge of SKU-level economics, encompassing sell-through, margin, inventory position, and lifecycle stage.
• Recognizes data quality as an integral part of the role, including root-cause analysis and direct correction.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in a business context for task automation.
• Excellent English communication skills coupled with a strong ownership mindset.
• Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools, margin/pricing/demand forecasting data, and experience in retail, e-commerce, or luxury/home furnishings.
