This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the creation and upkeep of predictive, statistical, and machine learning models tailored to business and client requirements across various Artemetrx projects.
• Examine pharmacy and medical claims data along with other healthcare datasets to uncover trends, patterns, outliers, and opportunities related to costs and utilization.
• Contribute to AI roadmap initiatives.
• Prepare, cleanse, transform, and validate datasets for analytics, reporting, dashboards, and model creation.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable analytical code following established standards, libraries, and modules of the data team.
• Manage reference tables and other datasets utilized within the Artemetrx product.
• Utilize SQL and Python to extract, manipulate, and analyze large and intricate datasets.
• Collaborate with consultants, clinicians, analysts, product teams, data engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide actionable insights.
• Document analytical methodologies, assumptions, data definitions, model logic, and outcomes.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations through written summaries, presentations, dashboards, and discussions with stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of advancements in healthcare analytics, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and pharmacy benefits management.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical claims analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for query writing.
• Experience with Python or R, specifically in building data analysis, machine learning, or forecasting models.
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, statistics, healthcare analytics, informatics, or a related analytical capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is required.
• Familiarity with healthcare data, pharmacy/PBM data, medical claims, financial data, or similarly complex datasets.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, querying, and manipulation.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, or automation.
• Foundational understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, and model evaluation techniques.
• Experience in accurately preparing, cleaning, validating, and analyzing raw data.
• Ability to convert business inquiries into analytical strategies and convey results effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and the ability to quickly learn new tools, methods, and healthcare concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or relevant coursework; advanced Excel skills; expertise in healthcare cost, utilization, clinical, pharmacy, PBM, or drug management analytics; predictive modeling; time-series forecasting; claims analytics; anomaly detection; natural language processing; AI-enabled reporting; data privacy; data governance; HIPAA; secure handling of sensitive healthcare information; dashboards; reporting automation; reusable analytical workflows; and model deployment processes.
